Redstone Commodity Search are working with a global commodities brokerage seeking a grain derivatives broker to be based in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Responsible for executing paper swaps and futures trades on behalf of clients for different grains in the APAC region (corn, wheat, barley, sorghum, oilseeds, soybean etc.)
  • Communicate trends and changes to clients by monitoring and analysing the Asian and international grain markets
  • Create and develop relationships with both new and existing clients
  • Write market updates and market letters on a daily basis as well as regular news summaries to support brokers
  • Reports into Head of the Grains desk

Key Qualifications / Experience

  • At least 2 years’ experience working in a brokering, trading, sales or operations role covering agricultural and/or soft commodities (wheat, barley, corn, sorghum, oilseeds, soybean, fertilizer, etc.)
  • Excellent understanding of trade entry and execution with strong knowledge of the international grains market (corn, wheat, maize, SBM)
  • Solid understanding of derivatives contracts such as futures, swaps and options
  • Degree in business, finance, mathematics, economics or other relevant discipline
  • Located in Singapore or happy to relocate
