Carbon / Sustainability Consultant & Business Developer

Redstone Commodity Search are working with an international trading & investment firm, who are expanding their carbon and sustainability offering, looking to hire a business developer focused on the voluntary carbon market.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

• Develop and increase portfolio of private clients offering carbon based solutions within the voluntary market
• Understand standards and industry incentives allowing you to advise on the best solutions
• Work closely with clients building long lasting relationships by understanding their sustainability needs
• Assist with the growth and the development of the voluntary carbon and sustainability business
• Work alongside the origination team as well as other parts of the energy business to professionalize the outlook
• Reposts into the Director of Business Innovation

Key Qualifications / Experience

• Minimum one years’ experience working in a client facing role with a focus environmental products
• Strong understanding of the VCM and ETS as well as fundamental drivers of these
• Entrepreneurial mind-set with the passion and drive to build and grow a business / client base
• Excellent negotiation, client facing and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and close deals
• Located in the UK or happy to relocate
