Redstone Commodity Search are working with an international trading house looking to hire a CEO / Global Head of Agriculture to join the team in London or Switzerland.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Spearhead the global growth strategy for the firm’s Agricultural trading portfolio, developing and executing short, medium, and long-term business plans.
  • Serve as a focal point of organizational transformation, acting as the first Global Business Head for the group with the scope to implement positive, significant change company-wide
  • Responsible for the Agricultural division’s PnL through hands-on engagement of physical trading, shipping operations (bulk and container) and logistics, insurance claims, workflow planning, risk management / hedging etc.
  • Able to fundraise for the business, understanding the impact of treasury and capital structures.
  • Engage with all departments to ensure a smooth end-to-end trade lifecycle

Key Qualifications / Experience

  • 12+ years of experience in international trading covering agricultural products (rice, nuts, oilseeds, pulses, soybean, coffee, wheat, spices etc.), of which you have at least five years of experience as profit centre head for either for a major international trading house or bank
  • Postgraduate and have experience working at a Tier 1 institute, physical trading expertise as well as experience looking at future and paper trading strategies / risk management.
  • Worked with the progressive core process with internal & external stakeholders, establishing and meeting profitability targets.
  • Have previously delivered annual P&L more than US $10mm + and have handled entire business operations.
  • To be located in London or Switzerland.
