Redstone Commodity Search are working with a global soft commodity trading house seeking a dairy trader to join their team in the Netherlands.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Responsible for trading physical dairy products (butter, cheese, anhydrous milk fat, skimmed milk, raw milk, UHT, cream, skimmed milk powders, butter milk powders, whey milk powders, whole milk powders, etc.) into the Italian market and growing the company’s market share
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers in European dairy markets
  • Keep up to date on market and product developments in the Italian dairy space
  • Work closely with operations and logistics teams to draft and implement purchase and sales contracts
  • Reports into the Head of Trading

Key Qualifications / Experience

  • At least 3 years’ experience in dairy trading; milk, raw milk, skimmed milk, UHT, skimmed milk powders (SMP), butter milk powders, whey milk powders, whole milk powders (WMP), butter (BTR), cheese, anhydrous milk fat (AMF), cream, etc.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Italian dairy market with at least one year work experience focused on the Italian market
  • Positive proven track record of profitability with good understanding of supply chain/shipping processes
  • Fluent in Dutch and Italian, skills in German and/or French would be an advantage
  • Located in the Netherlands
