Redstone Commodity Search are working with leading European Energy company looking to hire an Energy Originator to join the team in Hamburg.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Responsible for business development across European markets with a particular focus on the German and Austrian markets
  • Working closely with the trading and operation business units to introduce and implement business development strategies in line with company targets
  • Industry research resulting in the client-specific execution of corporate strategies to uphold pre-existing clients whilst similarly recognising and approaching new clients
  • Developing personal network of suppliers and buyers and maximising opportunities for profitable trade
  • Reports into the Head of Trading

Key Qualifications / Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a relevant position with good trading and market knowledge across international energy markets (electricity, power, gas etc.)
  • Must have a degree from a university of applied sciences or a comparable apprenticeship
  • Demonstrate ability to conduct market research and implement new marketing strategies to explore new trading opportunities
  • Must be a fluent German and English speaker, any other European languages (French in particular) are a bonus (Spanish, Italian etc.)
  • Located in Hamburg or willing to relocate
