Redstone Commodity Search are working with a leading fertilizer trading group seeking a fertilizer trader to manage their China trading business out of their office in Shanghai.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Act as Regional Head of China for fertilizer trading; buy and sell nitrogen and phosphate based products and raw materials (including ammonia, urea, ammonium nitrate, ammonium sulphate, DAP, MAP, TSP, different grades of NPK, sulphur, rock sulphur etc.)
  • In charge of fertilizer sales into the domestic Chinese markets
  • Strengthen, build and develop strong relationships with Chinese distributors / buyers; ideally have a strong established network, notably with suppliers
  • Meet personal targets and develop the trading strategy in collaboration with the Global Head of Fertilizer Trading
  • Reporting into Regional Director

Key Qualifications / Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ work experience as a fertilizer trader with a focus on selling into the Chinese market
  • Preferably a background in trading across different fertilizers, including nitrogen and phosphate products
  • Excellent established relationships with Chinese distributors of fertilizers and experience in bulk trading
  • Fluency in Chinese - any other languages are a plus
  • Eligible and happy to work in Shanghai, China
