Redstone Commodity Search are working with an international trading company seeking a fertilizer trader in the US.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

  • In charge of all aspects of fertilizer exports including the physical trading of fertilizer products (Urea, phosphates, sulphates, NPKs, water soluble etc.) across the domestic US and International markets
  • Establish and develop relationships with new and existing fertilizer clients
  • Stay on top of market trends and changes in order to identify new business opportunities and build a book of new fertilizer customers in target markets
  • Work closely with the traffic and operations teams to ensure a smooth supply chain
  • Reports directly into CEO

Key Qualifications / Experience

  • At least 3 years' experience in fertilizer trading and/or sales (phosphates, nitrogen, NPKs, speciality fertilizers, water soluble etc.) - existing relationships with end users (farmers, food producers, cattle facilities etc.) would be a plus
  • Existing network with suppliers in the US and internationally is an advantage
  • Domestic or international product sourcing experience would be a plus as well as good understanding of shipping and logistics processes (export/shipping documentation etc.)
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of the US and international fertilizer markets
  • Located in or eligible to work in the US (work permit or citizenship is essential)
