Redstone Commodity Search are working with one of the world’s major chemical marketing enterprises looking to hire a Head of Agronomic Advice in Fertilizers to join the commercial team in the UK, Spanish, French, German or Italian office.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Responsible for/In charge of providing agronomic recommendations and executing demo trials and data collection, with the support from the crop protection team.
  • Supporting the sale of newly developed products by providing the relevant information to the sales and marketing teams.
  • Organising fields days for data collection and providing data and information on fertilizer trends based on crops, customers and competitors. As well as providing insights into farmer activities and best uses, digital content for marketing and promotions.
  • Working closely with farmers, country managers and product managers to help develop and manage specific business strategies. Being able to have own initiative and keen on finding new ideas and new ways to develop new products, with the chance to build new division. Looking to create new, high value products.
  • Reports into Executive Director of Fertilizers.

Key Qualifications / Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in fertilizers with experience in agronomy, farm management and crop protection are preferred.
  • Relevant HND or Degree in Agriculture, Science or similar related study.
  • Commercial experience as well as agronomic – agricultural background preferred.
  • Fluent in English language is a must. Strong communication skills, verbal and written and able to work alone and communicate with other teams within the company.
  • Located in one of the offices in either France, Spain, UK, Germany or Italy. Must also be very flexible with travel and able to travel to other subsidiary offices.
