Redstone Commodity Search are working with a Global Commodity Trading House looking to hire a Head of Carbon Project Development to join their new Climate Desk.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Developing and managing inhouse carbon projects, utilising relevant certification bodies (VCS, Gold Standard, Red++, Verra).
  • Work with the carbon trading team to utilise market knowledge to develop and assist in the implementation of new projects.
  • Accurately preparing budgets for various types of projects (including clean cooking, agroforestry, biochar and soil carbon).
  • Maintaining and developing good relationships with the relevant stakeholders (including internal teams, other verticals of the group, 3rd party project developers / owners and certification bodies).
  • Role reports to Head of Climate Desk.

Key Qualifications / Experience

  • 5+ years within project development of one of the following markets: nature-based solutions, agriculture, carbon, clean cooking and sustainability.
  • Understanding of project management and the following types: CDM, Gold Standard and VCS projects.
  • Must be willing and able to travel and work in an international context.
  • The role can be based in office or have a hybrid structure.
  • Located in Amsterdam or Madrid, with proficiency in English required, additional languages are a plus.
