Redstone Commodity Search are working with A major metal’s producer looking to hire an Operations Plant manager to join the team in the Eastern Iceland Area.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

• Identify new opportunities and lead the implementation of cost reduction while continuously managing the risks that might follow.
• Review current production processes, identify and install new manufacturing solutions to improve manufacturing efficiency.
• Be in charge of the capital spending decisions for both return seeking and maintaining capital.
• Be an ambassador and establish connections with local / regional government representatives, as well as the local communities.
• Manage, train and motivate teams to achieve the plant’s goals, and ensure that EHS excellence is a priority of the business.

Key Qualifications / Experience

• 7+ years’ experience in plant operations within the manufacturing industry, with proven track of success in a similar role.
• Experienced with EHS processes, continuous improvement and leadership skills.
• Solid business and data understanding, as well as a strong financial acumen.
• Fluent in English and ideally Icelandic as well.
• Currently living or willing to relocate to Eastern Iceland.
