Redstone Commodity Search are working with a global bank / financial service group who are looking to strengthen their market Operations Division, with the hire of a Physical Commodity Operator.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

• Work closely with the trading, sales and logistics teams focusing on physical commodity transactions across metal, agricultural and oil products
• Validation of trade bookings and reviewing physical documentation (bills of landing, letters of indemnity etc.)
• Reviewing and drafting of sales contracts as well as following up and responding to contracts from counterparties
• Facilitate cash and physical asset settlements and reconciling of cash and physical balances
• Role reportions into Operations Manager

Key Qualifications / Experience

• 2-7 years’ experience within commodity operations ideally with some years spent with a bank
• Strong understanding of the metals, agricultural and or oil markets
• Good communication skills with customer contact experience
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a collaborate environment
• Located in the UK
