Redstone Commodity Search are working with an Asset Management, Risk Management and Trading firm based in London looking to hire a mid-senior level quantitative analyst / programmer to work with their front office commercial team.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Responsible for assisting the front office trading teams, providing detailed research and market insights
  • Work closely with the traders building / programming trading tools and models to assist with revenue generation and generating new trading ideas.
  • Be a focal point for market knowledge and information for the front office utilising quantitative analysis and models to further develop derivative market access.
  • The role will develop and provide the opportunity to trade and run own capital.
  • Reporting to the Business Partner

Key Qualifications / Experience

  • 4+ years’ experience working as a quantitative analyst / programmer within an investment bank, trading house or hedge fund.
  • Strong problem solving, maths and quantitative skills with high attention to detail
  • Experienced working within / knowledge of the commodity markets is highly desirable (energy, oil, gas, agricultural, softs, metal etc.)
  • Proficient in programming languages such as C# and Python.
  • Located in the UK/open to relocate
