Redstone Commodity Search are working with a global mining entity looking to hire a Commercial Specialist to join the metals team in their Chicago branch.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Assist Commercial Manager with all aspects of copper book management including strategic initiatives, customer relationship management and contract formation
  • Provide support and assistance to the marketing and sales team to define and implement sales strategies as well as purchase for resale trades
  • Act as the first point of contact for customer requests including scheduling, volume declarations and related contract documentation
  • Develop key internal and external relationships, interfacing with all relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of the sales process
  • Reports into Commercial Manager

Key Qualifications / Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in a related, commercial position (sales support, strategy, logistics etc.) within a commodity trading house or producer / miner
  • Ideally have knowledge of non-ferrous metals (copper, aluminum, zinc, nickel, gold, silver, palladium, platinum)
  • Excellent communication skills and the desire to further a career in base metals
  • Must have right to work in the US
  • Located in Chicago or willing to relocate
