Redstone Commodity Search are working with an international trading company seeking a scrap metals trader for their offices in the Netherlands.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

  • In charge of trading physical scrap metal (aluminium, brass, bronze, copper, lead, nickel, zinc, stainless steel, steel, manganese, silicon etc.)
  • Gather and analyse data on the global metals markets in order to create tailored purchasing strategies
  • Promote the company’s products and services while establish and building relationships with new and existing clients
  • Travel regularly within your defined territory to perform site visits. Majority in France and/or Germany
  • Reports into the Head of Metals Trading

Key Qualifications / Experience

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in scrap metals trading (aluminium, aluminium alloys, ferroalloys, brass, bronze, copper, nickel, lead, carbon steel, stainless steels, steel, zinc etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of the scrap metals market including key players in the Europe, Middle East and Asia. Particular focus on the French or German markets.
  • Excellent communication skills and happy to travel frequently to meet suppliers and customers
  • English and either French or German desirable
  • Located in the Netherlands or open to relocation
