Redstone Commodity Search are working with a global leading brokerage looking to hire a Steel Broker to join the Steel and Scrap metal division in Stamford, USA.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Execute trades on the relevant exchanges on behalf of clients / 3rd parties
  • Maintain and establish relationships with other brokers when liquidity providers cannot facilitate trades to ensure continuation of service to clients
  • Maintain and enhance existing client relationships, making regular contact and tracking daily trading activities providing up to date market analysis and other value added services
  • Identify and capitalize on emerging business opportunities related to trends, future markets, products and customers to facilitate the onboarding of new clients following correct compliance and operations procedures
  • Role reports into Head of Desk

Key Qualifications / Experience

  • Good understanding of steel products and associated markets with strong client orientation
  • Degree in Economics, Geology or related field
  • Team player; works well with other people and various groups and personalities, generally enjoyable and engaging in building relationships and networks where possible
  • Be willing to pass the Series 3 NFA test or have Series 3 NFA credentials
  • Must be located in or willing to relocate to Stamford, USA
