Redstone Commodity Search are working with a growing commodity trading house with existing oil and agriculture trading activities, who are looking to hire a coal trader to capitalise on recently signed offtake agreements.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

• Market and sell physical thermal / steam coal out of Tanzania to clients and end users across the EMEA and Asia.
• Build and develop the company’s origination and spot trading activities.
• Work closely with the team on the ground in Tanzania keeping clear lines of communication and ensuring smooth operations.
• Develop medium and longer term plans for the business, providing the senior management team with your expertise and knowledge within coal.
• Role reports to the CIO.

Key Qualifications / Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a coal trader, trading thermal / steam coal.
• Existing knowledge of clients and end users across EMEA and or Asia (utilities, cement companies etc).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to plan ahead and develop both new and existing trade activities.
• Previous experience with Tanzanian or similar spec coal is advantageous.
• Located or able to relocate to Dubai, Switzerland or Singapore.
